Engineer. Senior Engineer, WCDMA Network Verification, NWS

In your role as an Engineer/Specialist for WCDMA network verification, you will be in a key role to contribute to success of our business line in Japan. You will be the network verification specialist for the WCDMA/HSPA RA offering for a leading Japanese operator in co-operation with a local partner.
WCDMA System Verification team is responsible of the end to end network system verification with customer view and leading the trial & pilot activities as well as the latest system release technical support during rollout phase.

 

Job Responsibilities:

Your main responsibilities will include:

- Planning, designing, executing and reporting tests

- Developing and maintaining testing tools and verification environment

- Participating the technical requirement specification

- Participating onsite support and customer trial of the new release

- Giving troubleshooting support for technical support organization as well as on-site support for customer

- Interfacing towards global product R&D in Finland, Germany and China

 

Minimum Qualifications:

- A degree in telecommunications, data communications, electrical engineering, computer science or equivalent.
- 3 years of experience in mobile communications (10+ for Senior Engineer)
- Intermediate to business level of English
- Fluent Japanese
- Expert knowledge about Radio techniques, IP knowledge and basic scripting and programming and Knowledge of SW development and testing processes/tools, 3GPP
- Familiar with testing tools, protocols, WCDMA/LTE infrastructures, network analyzer etc.

- Experience of the 3G RAN network elements, knowledge of the Core Network/UE is a plus
