Work jointly with Solutions Specialist sales to consult, propose, and win new business in the Compute Services line of business. This is a sales engineer role specializing in Compute Services with an emphasis on IT Services. Individual will work jointly with the Solution Specialist to achieve revenue targets by consulting, proposing and selling high value Compute Services - IaaS / Cloud, Hosting, Managed Services and IT Solutions to existing and new enterprise clients in Japan and Asia Pacific.
This role is perfect for the SE who has the confidence to do more than be a sales technical support.
This individual ideally will lead engagements and help drive sales results working with the Solutions Specialist. The role has an at-risk commission pool but also a significant upside for overachievement of results.
Job responsibilities:
Drive new line of business – Compute Services selling Private Cloud and Solutions, Hosting, Managed Services & IT Solutions. Individual must be flexible and highly motivated, very good at problem solving and working in complex, agile, and dynamic environment. Must have prior IT Services background in some OR all areas of Hosting, Managed Services, Private Cloud, and IT consulting. The Solution Architect will be the subject matter expert in compute services working closely with the various product managers .Business acumen and communication skills to create winning solutions that meet customer requirements is critical.
Key roles and responsibilities:
- Work with sales teams
to develop and sell new opportunities in the compute services space to attain
revenue and sales targets
- Develop excellent C-Level and technical level relationships in target
customers
- Solution selling – align technology solutions to customer business problems
- Align to vertical sector plans, individual account plans, and overall business
plans
- Working in full sales cycle: discover, develop, propose, negotiate, and close
(deliver)
- Work on large or complex bids as a “sales leader” for sales function.
Creating, directing and disbanding “virtual teams” as needed.
- Work on Japanese and international deals
- Create and provide customer solutions using Private Cloud, SaaS, Security,
Email, Storage, Professional Services and IT Services
- Work with solution
partners (IT vendors for example) to create and drive customized sales engagement
models for individual customer requirements
- Work with and maintain good relations with internal functions including
solutions, finance, systems and technology, operations
- All reporting internal meetings as required
- Coach and working alongside junior associates or other sales as needed
- Position our company as the preferred Asia Pacific information delivery
platform
- Maintain and communicate sales forecasts and pipeline per our sales process
- Write, maintain, develop, and communicate account plans and strategic
territory reviews
Minimum qualifications:
- Japanese native (some
English language skills a plus)
- Proven sales engineering track record, and knowledge, for selling IAAS,
hosting, application, IT services and managed services solutions in Japan (and
Asia as applicable)
- Experience in hardware, software, or application services SE work to
corporate customers
- Some Asia Pacific travel maybe required
- Experience – minimum 3 years+ sales experience in relevant services (Finance,
Media, Game, ISP/SIer, Indirect Sales). Range of experience can vary from 3-10
years.
